Meister v1.10 Now Waiting for Review!

After a long hiatus, I've decided to finally work on the simple updates I've been meaning to add to Meister. Today, I'm happy to say that the very first update, v1.10, is now Waiting for Review! ^_^

Key changes:

  • Improved application stability.
  • Added basic backup and restore! Now you can copy and keep snapshots of your data via iTunes!
  • The Portfolio Item list can now be customized to display your choice of information: Position, Market Price, Total Value, Historical Performance, or Position Performance.
  • Added application preferences under system Settings (for the above-mentioned new customization feature).  Like-wise, the sort options will allow sorting using the chosen display information.
  • The Portfolio Item Details view is now in scrollable table form, with bigger and clearer fonts.
  • In Portfolio Item Details , the Portfolio Value now displays the expected amount based on the selected value (Market Value, Fair Value, or Target Value) - this allows for simple and easy viewing of the expected/resulting price.

Status

Meister v1.00 is now Waiting for Review.

What is Meister?

Personally, Meister is my first foray into iPhone application development. It is part of my attempt to break out of my embedded development comfort zone. I developed Meister because I needed such an app, not because I thought it was a novel idea. It is not a complex application, and if you've used an iPod or iPhone before, navigating the app is pretty straight-forward. Suffice to say, the current version under review will not be the last version. I'm planning a lot of features for the app, like custom tags, and linking stocks to your preferred URL. There is no time-table yet, but I'll definitely be wanting these for myself. I hope you'll find the app as useful; and please do leave comments and suggestions for improvement! I'll happily sift through them. ^_^

For now, I leave you with the official screenshots and slightly modified description. 'Til next time!
